I had the awesome opportunity to spend some time talking to aby garvey, noell hyman, and allie bandy-trumpower on the paperclipping roundtable today to fine-tune some of my organization. we talked about small storage/storage within storage, creating the feel of workstations, acrylic stamps, kits, and projects in progress among other things.

for anyone that's curious, here are a few pictures of my space right now -
it is pretty, isn't it? lol...
like I mentioned on the show, there are some things that are working and some things that aren't. one of the things that does work really well for me are these little three-section serving trays that I picked up at kmart. they're shallow enough for things like buttons and brads and veneers. love these! I actually just grabbed a few more while i was out the other day.
more than likely, I'll take a few days to process everything we talked about today and then make some changes - nothing major, atleast at the moment... like I said, I really need to fine-tune some things. I had actually intended to do another complete overhaul, but it makes more sense, right now, to try a few small changes first. aby, noell, and allie had some awesome suggestions today, so... we'll start there. aby was right when she said about people having a tendency to rip everything apart and start all over when things aren't working, instead of figuring out/focusing on what, specifically, isn't working and trying to fix only that. i'm guilty of this as well.
I mentioned to allie about a link to the clear 2 gallon bags I use to store kits - thought i'd share that here as well.
do you have an organizing issue of your own? leave me a comment and tell me about it.
have a great day!
